THREE60 Energy was commissioned by an energy supermajor to deliver a rapid-turnaround FEED, defining a practical solution while providing the technical information required to support the customer’s investment decision.
Challenge
The firefighting system interfaced with multiple areas and systems across the terminal, creating a complex scope involving Operations, Engineering and HSE.
With a demanding schedule, it was important to establish clarity early, identify critical interfaces and make timely decisions on which options should be progressed through FEED.
Solution
THREE60 brought key project stakeholders together through a series of initial scoping sessions to establish requirements, clarify interfaces and identify potential constraints.
This front-end screening allowed options to be evaluated and discounted early, creating a clearly defined and agreed FEED scope. The team then developed and assessed the preferred solution, ultimately recommending and technically justifying the procurement of a standalone modular firefighting system.
Result
The rapid-turnaround FEED provided the customer with a clearly defined and technically justified solution for upgrading the terminal’s firefighting capability.
Crucially, the information developed during FEED enabled the customer to progress to Final Investment Decision (FID) with little or no delay, while the early stakeholder engagement and option screening provided greater clarity around the scope and requirements for subsequent delivery.
