Challenge
An operator on the Norwegian Continental Shelf required ongoing technical support for the annual integrity assessment of critical rigid pipeline components across a portfolio of offshore fields. Covering risers, flowlines and spools, the assessments form an important part of the operator’s wider integrity management programme and are required to demonstrate continued compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
A consistent and efficient approach was needed to gather relevant information, assess integrity status and provide clear technical reporting across the selected assets.
Solution
THREE60 established a structured and repeatable annual assessment process covering data gathering, technical evaluation and integrity reporting.
Required information was obtained directly from relevant source systems and asset stakeholders, reducing the data-gathering burden on the operator and creating an efficient basis for recurring assessments. THREE60’s pipeline integrity specialists applied regulatory, technical and industry expertise to assess available process, operational and inspection data and establish the integrity status of each component. The repeatable methodology also enabled consistency to be maintained across multiple assets and successive annual assessment cycles.
