THREE60 Energy designed and supplied new weighing balance and slack rope monitoring systems for three container cranes at a UK port facility.
The systems were developed to improve the accuracy, availability and safety of the client’s existing crane equipment, forming part of THREE60’s wider support to UK port operators.
Challenge
The client required an upgrade to the existing container cranes to improve load measurement and provide more effective monitoring of slack rope conditions.
The new equipment needed to integrate successfully with the existing crane systems and be installed and commissioned within the agreed programme to minimise disruption to port operations.
Solution
THREE60 designed and supplied bespoke weighing balance and slack rope monitoring systems for each of the three cranes.
The team managed the installation and commissioning of the equipment, coordinating the work to ensure each crane was completed in line with the client’s required schedule.
Result
All three container cranes were successfully commissioned on schedule, providing the client with improved weighing accuracy, monitoring capability and operational safety.
Following commissioning, the systems were reported by the client to be operating faultlessly, with the client specifically recognising THREE60’s professionalism throughout the delivery.
