Challenge
The Intrepid FPSO supports production from the Galoc Field, located approximately 60km north-west of Palawan in the Philippines. Following acquisition of the FPSO by Galoc Production Company, a comprehensive operating model was required to manage the vessel and provide the technical, operational and assurance capabilities necessary to support safe and efficient production.
Solution
THREE60 Energy was appointed to provide Duty Holder Operations & Maintenance services for the Intrepid FPSO, taking responsibility for a broad scope spanning offshore operations and technical support.
The integrated service includes integrity management, engineering, procurement, construction and decommissioning support alongside management systems, emergency response and vessel class management.
Delivery is supported through THREE60’s regional teams in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, engineering and operations expertise in Aberdeen, and its wider Technical Advisory Network, providing access to specialist capability as required. Following transition, THREE60 also initiated a significant integrity programme focused on improving asset reliability and supporting extension of the field’s productive life.
Result
THREE60 successfully completed the operational transition, assuming control of the FPSO in February 2021. Following transition, the focus moved towards asset integrity, reliability and operational efficiency, with a targeted programme established to support continued production and field-life extension.
The project demonstrates THREE60’s ability to combine Duty Holder responsibility, offshore operations and multidisciplinary technical support within a single integrated operating model.
