Challenge
In November 2022, THREE60 was appointed as the detailed design engineering contractor for an onshore pipeline crossover project. THREE60 mobilised a multi-discipline engineering team to support delivery of the project. The aim of the project is to provide an alternative route to market for a proportion of the gas from the existing gas export system and onwards to the mainland terminal.
Solution
THREE60’s team of over 40 personnel are designing a new 210 tonne processing module, an 80 tonne local equipment room (LER) and a 70 tonne metering package. THREE60 is specifying all the associated electrical, instrument, piping & mechanical equipment and managing over 25 vendors through manufacture to FAT and ultimate installation at the fabricators. As part of the project, we are designing and installing over 35km of cable and tying the new facilities into the existing site infrastructure, which includes an 11kV substation interface to feed the new LER.
Result
Due to the THREE60 team’s experience and site experience, we were fully versed on the requirements in terms of the standards, procedures, systems and ways of working. THREE60 understood that the interfaces with the existing sweeting facilities, flare and metering systems, communications, control, utilities and safety systems are key to the success of the project. THREE60 are managing all these key interfaces through the execute phase.
