THREE60 Energy has signed a contract with Inkfish for the design, manufacture, assembly and installation of a state-of-the-art 12.5T SWL A-Frame specifically engineered for the launch and recovery of the Inkfish’s full ocean depth submersible “Baku”. This contract marks the first of a promising partnership between THREE60 and Inkfish.
The comprehensive scope of work encompasses design, manufacture and factory acceptance testing before shipping the launch and recovery system to Inkfish’s site in Gran Canaria, Spain. The THREE60 in-service support team will provide advisory support during the installation and commissioning phases.
This innovative A-Frame design is a new concept aimed at providing Inkfish with an ABS-classed launch and recovery system for their manned submersible. The project will leverage THREE60’s deep expertise in the design, manufacture and installation of complex mechanical handling systems for challenging applications. The team will work in collaboration with trusted suppliers and leverage in-house capabilities for component manufacturing.

The project will kick off with the design phase at THREE60’s Glasgow-based team, followed by manufacturing and testing in Renfrew. The final installation and commissioning will take place at the designated shipyard in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to operational readiness.
