THREE60 Energy Named Engineering Manufacturer of the Year at Made in Scotland Awards

THREE60 Energy has been named Engineering Manufacturer of the Year at the Made in Scotland Awards, recognising the company’s engineering and manufacturing excellence, innovation and continued growth.

The award celebrates THREE60’s integrated engineering and manufacturing capabilities, which combine Scottish engineering heritage, specialist expertise and innovation to deliver high-performance, safety-critical solutions across the Oil & Gas, Decommissioning, New Energy and Defence & Industrial sectors.

Over the past decade, THREE60 has strategically built integrated capabilities spanning engineering, precision manufacturing, complex mechanical systems, assembly and operations, enabling the business to deliver increasingly ambitious scopes for customers in the UK and internationally.

The company’s integrated capability is also supporting major projects in Scotland, including a multi-million-pound contract to design and manufacture cable storage carousels, gantries and pathlines for Sumitomo Electric’s new £200 million power cable facility in Nigg.

Walter Thain, Group CEO at THREE60 Energy, said:

“Winning Engineering Manufacturer of the Year is fantastic recognition for our teams and the engineering and manufacturing expertise we have developed across THREE60. As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, this award is particularly poignant. We have grown from an ambitious Scottish start-up into a global lifecycle solutions business, but engineering excellence and our ability to solve complex customer challenges remain at the heart of what we do.

“This award is testament to our people across the business whose expertise, innovation and commitment allow us to continue delivering high-quality solutions for our customers in Scotland and around the world.”

Since its formation in 2016, THREE60 Energy has grown from zero revenue and employees into a £230 million global lifecycle solutions business employing more than 1,200 people across the UK, Norway, Southeast Asia, the UAE and the Americas.

The company continues to invest in and transfer its engineering and manufacturing expertise across markets, supporting its diversification across Oil & Gas, Decommissioning, New Energy and Defence & Industrial.
