Job Purpose

THREE60 Energy is currently recruiting for a conscientious & enthusiastic Senior Reporting Accountant to join the team in Aberdeen. The position is responsible for the financial consolidation of the group on a monthly basis, working with area finance teams to report results on a timely basis. In addition, this position is required to support the areas finance teams with statutory reporting, audit completion, and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

1. Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Preparation of consolidated management accounts of the Group, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflows
  • Management of the overall close timetable for the group
  • Assist to meet Local GAAP statutory and tax filing requirements, working with area teams to obtain the relevant backups, support in preparation of annual statutory accounts and tax filing.
  • Preparation of Statutory consolidation for the group, including reserves reconciliations, investment eliminations, and minority interest entries in preparation for the year-end audit process
  • Primary point of contact with Group auditors and responsible the provision of required information to ensure the audit is completed on a timely basis

2. Group Reporting

  • Consolidation of key group KPI measures such as Backlog, and geographical and industry revenue analysis
  • Co-ordination of group Budget and forecast timetable
  • Preparation of Group consolidation for budget and forecasts, improving the process to make sure more efficient

3. Business Support

  • Support FD and CEO in understanding the group results and explaining variations to budgets and forecasts
  • Provide group financial figures and statutory entity data input to tenders as required

4. Treasury

  • Initial Preparation of group cashflow forecasts, working with the FD to refine assumptions
  • Reporting financial figures to bank to demonstrate compliance with covenants

5. Management and development of processes

  • Maximise the efficiency of financial processes, challenging the way things are done
  • Support business improvement initiatives across the business and the finance function, ensuring obtaining the maximum use out of the existing finance reporting system
  • Ad hoc projects as required to support finance manager and finance director

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • A recognised accountancy qualification [ ]
  • Hands-on experience of using accounting systems, strong understanding of statutory compliance and group consolidations preferred [ ]
  • Oil & Gas service industry or Accountancy profession experience preferable [ ]

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience gained either in industry or with a public accounting firm is required [ ]
  • Experience of working in an international group is preferred [ ]
  • Strong knowledge of UK statutory and taxation requirements, including VAT [ ]
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines without fail and have problem-solving skills and a can-do approach to challenges [ ]
  • Strong excel skills required with an ability to manage large volumes of data and convert data to management information [ ]
  • Must be able to influence others to follow processes and provide the necessary inputs to allow the efficient reporting of results and forecasts [ ]
