Job Purpose

Due to the continued growth and expansion of the THREE60 business across various energy sectors, we are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen.  

Supervisory and Managerial Duties:

Manage and monitor the delivery of assigned modifications and/or projects within the boundaries of cost, quality and schedule for THREE60 EPCC.

Basic Purpose of Role:

Manages a programme of modifications and or project, including the cost and schedule of allocated scopes; manage kick off and progress meetings to ensure project requirements are communicated to discipline. Coordinate the assessment of risks and opportunities for allocated scopes, monitoring and development of action plans to remove, mitigate or control risks and maximise opportunities throughout the scope lifecycle.

Main Duties:

  1. Responsible for the management of all the allocated client Project/Modification from kick off to close out.
  2. Responsible for raising the initiation CTR budget to allow the development of the SOW documentation and cost estimate.
  3. Responsible for the organisation and management of the kick off and subsequent progress meetings.
  4. Responsible for the development of the overall project control budget and schedule and the management thereof.
  5. Responsible for ensuring good communication of discipline issues.
  6. Responsible for keeping the client informed of progress cost and project issues.
  7. Ensure timely approval of project budgets and CTRs.
  8. Ensure delivery of each Project/Modification to budget and schedule, ensuring changes are managed and suitably approved by the client prior to implementation.
  9. Shall be the clients’ primary focal point for allocated Project/Modifications.
  10. Shall maintain a constant dialogue with other Project Engineers, Lead discipline engineers and designers to ensure project priorities and delivery schedules are maintained.
  11. Provide assistance and guidance to the project controls personnel assigned to their scopes.
  12. Provide constructive feedback on the processes and tools used for the purposes of continual improvement.
  13. Promote, represent and enhance THREE60’s reputation internally and externally.

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

  1. Take into account all aspects of the “Health and Safety at Work etc. Act (1974)”.
  2. Knowledge of, compliance with and promotion of office, site and contract/project health and safety guidelines and procedures.
  3. Actively promote and comply with the THREE60 EPCC Safety Management System.
  4. Ensure all personnel working under their direction are aware of the requirements placed upon them by “Health and Safety at Work etc. Act (1974)” and the THREE60 EPCC Safety Management System.
  5. Actively promote and encourage all personnel to care for themselves and others at all times.

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Can Demonstrate the ability and competence to operate at this level [ ◉ ]

Education/Qualifications:

  1. Formal technical qualification in an engineering subject [ ◉ ]
  2. Degree qualification in Project Management or other relevant subject [ ]
  3. Project Management qualification [ ]

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:

  1. Understanding of commercial and technical Risk Assessments [ ◉ ]
  2. Practitioner in project risk management processes [ ◉ ]
  3. Demonstrable skill in project management roles and / or delivery positions [ ◉ ]
  4. Association for Project Management formal training [ ]

Experience:

  1. Significant experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry with a knowledge of offshore engineering. [ ◉ ]
  2. Previous experience in the management of multi-disciplined offshore or onshore oil & gas projects preferably throughout the project lifecycle (design, procurement, installation & construction, handover and close out) [ ]
  3. Previous experience in the practical application of the relevant project management type principles and their application to engineering projects. [ ◉ ]
  4. Good working knowledge in the requirements and needs of other disciplines [ ◉ ]
  5. Some experience in managing discipline teams [ ◉ ]

Personal Skills:

  1. Capable of representing THREE60 EPCC and Client to business associates in a professional manner [ ◉ ]
  2. Strong presence with good leadership skills [ ◉ ]
  3. Computer literate in Microsoft Office Applications [ ◉ ]
  4. Ability to investigate and interpret data [ ◉ ]
  5. Strong ability to resolve conflict [ ◉ ]
  6. Self-motivated with an ability to motivate teams to deliver [ ◉ ]
  7. Ability to be responsive and open to changing circumstances [ ◉ ]
  8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills [ ◉ ]

STATUS CODES:

  1. Essential requirement that must be met before a candidate is appointed unless approved by the Projects Director. [ ◉ ]
  2. Desirable requirement. Candidate may be appointed, with discretion, without full achievement of criterion but the indicated competence should be developed.  [ ]
