Role Overview

Due to the continued growth within the THREE60 ENERGY GROUP, an opportunity has arisen to join our team as Senior Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor (Senior HSE Advisor), UK.

To provide Operations with day to day HSE support and to assist the Group HSE Director with the continued development of policies, procedures, systems and practices which deliver HSE excellence and legislative compliance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  1. Support Operations with the provision of practical and professional HSE advice and the development and execution of an annual HSE plan
  2. Support the Group HSE Director to define and execute an overall HSE strategy which achieves legislative compliance and ensure that all related initiatives are communicated and delivered in a collaborative manner
  3. Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in line with legislation, guidance and industry best practice
  4. Ensure that HSE policies, procedures and standards are communicated and understood, and monitor their effectiveness in supporting the business objectives
  5. Lead and assist site/offshore inspections to ensure adherence with rules and legislation and conduct internal and external Health, Safety and Environmental audits in line with auditing and internal Group standards, identifying any potential hazards or risks and identifying corrective actions
  6. Build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation and provide practical and professional HSE guidance and advisory support to all
  7. Lead accident/incident investigations and collate all required information to ensure risks and impacts are identified which enable corrective actions and improvements to be made
  8. Analyse accident/incident causes, review and co-ordinate lessons learned to ensure risks can be prevented in the future
  9. Develop, monitor and report on KPI’s and targets in line with business and client requirements
  10. Develop and review risk assessments and work packs in line with legislation and compliance standards
  11. Provide HSE knowledge and expertise to support tenders, due diligence and business development activities
  12. Deliver Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness training
  13. Drive effective safety behaviours and continuous improvement initiatives to develop a culture where everyone is acting safely and being environmentally responsible
  14. Support Occupational Health and HR with the development and implementation of well-being programmes
  15. Other duties as assigned which may be reasonably expected within the scope of the role

Emergency Response

  1. Form part of the Emergency Response team as required by the Company Emergency Response Procedures

Knowledge & Qualifications

  1. Formal qualification at a minimum of HND level in a relevant. Engineering, Business or Environmental discipline – (desirable)
  2. Recognised HSE Qualification (NEBOSH general certificate or diploma)
  3. Environmental qualification would be advantageous
  4. Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 requirements and auditing standards
  5. Knowledge of UK HSE regulatory framework, including specific legislation applicable to the Duty Holder activities in the Energy sector
  6. Valid OGUK Medical, MIST and BOSIET

Skills & Experience

  1. Proven experience of working in a lead HSE role within the Energy Industry
  2. Excellent analytical and reporting skills
  3. Ability to operate effectively with minimum supervision
  4. Ability to lead, influence and coach others
  5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships
  6. Demonstratable skills in adapting to change and leading change processes and promoting behaviours that meet the organisation’s Aims and Values
