Job Purpose

The Process Engineer is accountable for asset support for late-life assets in the decommissioning stages of their asset life cycle. They will provide first-line support on a day-to-day basis for operational issues, process systems integrity and decommissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  1. Process engineering & systems support
  2. Assist with the formulation and development of conceptual facilities engineering designs
  3. Develop and manage process rationalisation plans
  4. Support Decommissioning assets DFPV, EDC and make safe life cycle phases
  5. Provide advice and support to ensure the safe and efficient operation of topsides process and utilities plant and equipment
  6. Research and apply best operational practices and promote safe behaviours
  7. Provide assurance regarding the competency, control and application of operational management systems and procedures and conduct audits as required
  8. Provide operations input to the Management of Engineering Change, including participation in Hazops, Hazids and other relevant safety reviews
  9. Ensure topsides efficiency throughout the asset life cycle; including the identification of bottleneck/turndown issues, and equipment redundancy and obsolescence
  10. Take a process lead role in the design and coordination of planned maintenance shutdown and construction programmes
  11. Act as Process TA delegate

Knowledge & Qualifications

  1. A Degree in a relevant engineering subject is essential
  2. Working towards Chartered status, is preferred
  3. Current offshore survival, medical and MIST certification, is preferred

Skills & Experience

  1. Previous experience in North Sea oil and gas operations is desirable
  2. Maintains a safe working environment, complying with and promoting the Company’s HSSE policy
  3. Works collaboratively within a team environment and takes initiative to get things done
  4. A motivated self-starter, proactive, flexible and able to respond positively to challenge and ad-hoc requests
  5. Strives for continuous improvement; brings solutions and constantly seeks new and better ways to work
