Job Purpose

Due to the continued growth and expansion of the THREE60 business across various energy sectors, we are looking for a Graduate Instrument Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen. 

Basic Purpose of Role

Execute discipline engineering activities within budget and schedule as directed by the Line Manager. 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Main Duties:

  1. Maintain the required technical quality of work
  2. Ensure scope and schedule changes are identified in accordance with the Change Control Process
  3. Actively report progress and identify any issues to Line Manager
  4. Ensure that designs comply with the relevant Codes, Standards, Regulations and procedures
  5. Ensure, as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and schedule
  6. Keep up-to-date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to the discipline scope
  7. Visit the Assets specific to scope when necessary
  8. Ensure discipline filing system for allocated activities is maintained
  9. Encourage and provide lateral learning within the Project
  10. Where possible identify potential improvements in current working practices and systems

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education/Qualifications:

  1. Degree qualification in Instrument & Control Engineering or Electronic & Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). [ ◉ ]
  2. Member of the IET and working towards Professional Registration (CEng) [ ◉ ]

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:

  1. Fully conversant with relevant Microsoft applications [ ◉ ]
  2. Awareness of discipline specific engineering applications [ ]
  3. Awareness of discipline specific codes and standards [ ]
  4. Willing to complete BOSIET Offshore survival certification [ ◉ ]

Experience:

  1. Awareness in the practical application of the relevant engineering principles and their application to engineering projects [ ◉ ]
  2. Awareness of most engineering materials used within the discipline [ ]
  3. Awareness of the requirements and needs of other disciplines [ ]

Personal Skills:

  1. Capable of representing THREE60 to business associates in a professional manner [ ◉ ]
  2. Team player [ ◉ ]
  3. Computer literate in Microsoft Office Applications [ ◉ ]
  4. Displays confidence in own abilities and is motivated to deliver [ ◉ ]

STATUS CODES:
